” Acuario de Bergen, en Noruega situado en la costa sudoeste , es la segunda ciudad en cuanto a tamaño e importancia de Noruega,  el Acuario de Bergen contiene una de las mejores y más extensas colecciones de fauna marina de toda Europa. Sus 70 tanques y sus tres piscinas exteriores se completan con una zona que tiene un realista acantilado para que aniden las naves, tanques abiertos, una exposición e instalaciones de video. Además de la exposición de anfibios y reptiles acuáticos inaugurada en 2002, se han abierto nuevas secciones cuya temática se centra alrededor de la industria marina y la fauna polar.Podemos observar “mantarrayas” o manta gigante (Manta birostris) es una variedad de pez raya, del mismo grupo que los tiburones.  Es muy común confundir el nombre de “mantarraya,” y usarlo en referencia a todas las especies de pez raya, aunque este en realidad solo se debe aplicar a la manta gigante. La más grande de las rayas, la manta puede llegar a medir 8,4 metros de envergadura y pesar alrededor de 1.400 kilogramos Posee un método de defensa muy particular, el cual consiste en un aguijón venenoso ubicado en el primer tercio de la cola. ”
